It's been a while since my last update! I'm still alive, just busy...I will try to post more frequently.

Some 3D W I P
Been working a lot in 3d lately with Blender and 3D Coat. It's still a work in progress, but hopefully soon, I'll be able to do something nice.
Here is a work in progress of a mesh I'm working on in Blender. I did the design in Back too..I also have a side view which cannot be seen here.
I'm realizing that you almost have to put on your design hat once you get into 3d, because the reference images (front view and side view) might not turn out that great in 3d.
Peace out,
Gavin

K'naan
I Did this piece back then when I decided to stop bootlegging software and was using GIMP because I couldn't afford Photoshop at the time.
I found out that GIMP does some stuff pretty well and offers a pretty good amount of control over key mapping some of the more advanced brush features like rotation and aspect ratio which I thought was pretty cool. Also, it can do image hose brushes and animated brushes which Photoshop can't do.
My time with GIMP was short lived though because shortly after I began beta testing TVPaint for linux which completely blew my mind and I now use it more than Photoshop for painting, drawing and animating. But I'll discuss TVPaint more in depth another day.
Take care,
Gavin

MUDPIT!
These are the final approved concepts for the Teletoon show Mudpit. I think I mentioned it a couple posts back, but I did these a couple of years ago when I was with Guru.
The concepts were coloured by my friend and colleague Jasper Ng.
Take care everyone.

Rock Zombie!
Before I forget to post this, I know I said I'd post a couple days ago. But somehow I got sidetracked, anyways here it is. There was one other concept that I really liked and would have liked to colour. That was the guy to the far right.
Take care,
Gavin

Mudpit - Rock Zombies

Digital Sketchbook Dump
A few sketches I did in TVPaint a while back when I first got my Asus slate computer. Mostly just random doodles in in TVPaint while I was riding the subway, plus a few other images either done at home again using TVPaint and one done in Photoshop (I still use that program sometimes!).
I'm going to make more of an effort to start show more work that I do outside of character design, like some 3d stuff and environment work that I've been practicing for the last little while.

More Azania Sketches
Some sketches of a potential attack sequence from Azania. This is the main character Maas. The final design will probably change though.
